Gossip Girl Episode Catch Up - The Ex Files & The Serena Also Rises

October 2, 2008

Welcome to Gossip Girl Info! If you're new here and you like what you are reading, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Sorry to my loyal readers for the lack of posts.  I have had a lot going on in my household, but I finally was able to catch up and watch the last two episodes of Gossip Girl, The Ex Files and The Serena Also Rises.  I have to say, that was probably the most exciting 2 hours I’ve had in a very long time.  This show is seriously rocking it!  And I can’t wait until the next amazing episode!  I promise I’m going to do everything in my power to stay caught up and keep this blog updated from now on.  With that, here’s a great recap of The Serena Also Rises from BuddyTV:

Last week’s episode of Gossip Girl was filled with all the delicious scandal and glorious backstabbing we’ve come to expect from the series.  Blair successfully ran Marcus and Catherine out of town after Vanessa found the evil MILF making out with her stepson, but her absence now leaves Nate (Chace Crawford) with a ton of debt and nowhere to turn.  Proving that B isn’t the only one capable of evil mind games, Chuck hired a girl named Amanda to woo Dan, all in an effort to convince Serena to reclaim her rightful place as queen of Constance Billiard.  The ploy worked, and now S is in charge, Dan is shunned, and Blair has to share the spotlight with her supposed best friend.

On tonight’s Gossip Girl, the Upper East Siders head to New York Fashion Week, where the rivalry between Blair and Serena reaches very well-dressed new heights.

Fashion Week is on as tonight’s Gossip Girl kicks off.  Over in Brooklyn, which is hardly the sartorial capital of the world, Dan is chatting with Little J about the thrills of college applications.  Dan thinks his sister is headed to school, but Jenny is still burying herself in her internship to avoid the evil girl mafia.

Over at Constance Billiard, B plans to win over the girls with second row invitations to Fashion Week.  She passes out the sought after invites, but B quickly gets shown up when the mafia sees Serena and socialite Poppy Lifton in the latest issue of Women’s Wear Daily.  Apparently, they’re BFFs now.  Chuck tries to rub the embarrassment in B’s face, but she snaps back by telling him he has fewer friends that Dan Humphrey.  Ouch!

All of Dan’s college essays are autobiographical, which is boring his Pulitzer-winning adviser to death.  The guy tells him to get out in the world and experience something new.  To get started on his little adventure, he goes to visit Mr. Debauchery himself: Chuck Bass.  They make plans to go out on the town, though Chuck (Ed Westwick) seems less than thrilled with the idea.  At Eleanor Waldorf Designs, Little J convinces her boss to invite Serena and her new socialite friends to Fashion Week to help their show trump the Marc Jacobs presentation.  B not only has a screaming fit when she finds out the news, but she immediately plots to annihilate Jenny Humphrey.

Watch Gossip Girl Online - Season 2 Episode 3 - The Dark Night

September 16, 2008

BRAVO!!!  Once again, another kick ass episode of Gossip Girl!  Blair and Chuck’s interaction with each other was soooo HOT!  Seriously, this show gets better and better with each episode.  I will have to admit though.  I’m so over the Dan and Serena crap.  Just break up already!!  I’m ready for them to have new love interests.  Hate to say it, but Marcus is getting on my nerves majorly too.  Definitely ready for him to make an exit.  Well…if you didn’t get to watch last night’s episode, here it is in 5 parts on YouTube.  Not sure how long it will be up, so get it while you can!

Gossip Girl - The Dark Night - Great Recap

Wow…this show keeps getting better with every episode!  That kissing scene between Chuck and Blair, very steamy!!  Here’s a great recap from Buddy TV!

If you weren’t invited to Blair Waldorf’s Back to the City Party last week, you missed out on one of the most scandalous events of the season.  B put together the bash to impress Lord Marcus, but things flew off track when Mr. Chuck Bass showed up with Cougar Catherine on his arm.  Blair immediately commented on Catherine’s Botox addiction, only to discover that she’s actually Marcus’s stepmom, Duchess Beaton.  Talk about a faux pas!  Catty Catherine certainly didn’t approve of B’s relationship with the Lord after that incident, but she changed her tune after Blair caught her sexing up Nate on the library floor.  B doesn’t know that Nate’s just a gigolo, but she does know how to blackmail a married woman when the opportunity arises.

On tonight’s episode of Gossip Girl, Blair’s relationship with the Lord goes down in flames during a citywide blackout.

Summer is coming to an end in Gossip Girl’s third episode, which means it’s time for a final burst of romance for B and her Lord.  Blair (Leighton Meester) wants to reenact the library scene from Atonement with her wannabe McAvoy, but Marcus would rather treat B like she’s a delicate flower instead of Keira Knightley.  In other words, there will be no sex in the champagne room.

Nate made the mistake of telling Cougar Catherine where his father is located, which will only come back to bite him in the ass.  Though he remains her gigolo, he secretly plans to meet up with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) on the side.  They have to keep things a secret, as do Dan and Serena, who worry how people will react to word of their rekindled romance.  Unfortunately for those crazy lovebirds, an observant passerby catches them making out on the street, snaps a photo, and sends it straight to Gossip Girl.  It’s only a matter of minutes before Chuck, Blair and Jenny read the news.  Little J is thrilled that Lonely Boy isn’t lonely anymore, as is Rufus.

Gossip Girl Never Been Marcused - Recap

September 9, 2008

Once again, another excellent episode of Gossip Girl!!  Packed full of OMFG moments!!  Here’s a great recap of the episode courtesy of TV Squad:

We are once again in The Hamptons and things are still not peachy for our favorite troubled teens and their parents. Blair tries to please The Lord and learn more about him, Chuck continues his search for the piece of information that will have Blair come back to him and ditch Marcus, Serena and Dan think and get busy, and much more. But, as the quote I put at the beginning of this review points at, it’s Catherine who wins the crown for most memorable character of the episode. And, as someone who already watched next week’s episode, I can say that you ain’t seen nothing yet. She is on sick lady.

As I warned you last week and in my “What to expect in season two of Gossip Girl” post, Serena and Dan are going through a rough patch. This week, we’ve seen the start of it all when both of them agreed they have to think. Since their physical attraction towards one another is pretty strong, the couple has difficulties staying apart in order to really think about their relationship. It’s clear that there are unresolved issues between the two that could lead to a break up, especially if they down sit down and chit chat about things. Since they are two busy being with one another, that needed talk will happen at a later time.

On a side note, I know Serena was trying to seduce Dan on the bus ride, but strawberries dipped in chocolate on a bus? Really? Okay, maybe a wrapped sandwich from the bus terminal’s vending machine wouldn’t have been as seductive.
